Eby Family Happenings

August 7, 2012

We kicked off the month of August by going to Pace to visit the Chick-Fil-A store to support them on their stand for the family. The restaurant was packed beyond anything I've ever seen. The line for the checkout went around the lobby at least two complete times and snaked all around so that there was standing room only. Very interesting to say the least.

Saturday marked the first annual Lost Arts Theatre Arts Festival in East Brewton. The girls ran the dunking booth and I sold tickets. It was a long day!

My cousin's father passed away on Thursday, and the home-going service was on Sunday, so Kat and I made the trip to Chattahoochee to attend. Mr. B was such a wonderful and Godly man and will be very much missed!

We brought my cousin's daughter, Kaitlyn, home with us to spend the week. The girls have been having a blast so far. Kaitlyn works for a company that does face painting, among other things. She showed off some of her skills by painting the girls' faces.

We also went fishing in the evening. The girls caught three nice catfish!

Daddy had his second complete knee replacement surgery on the 6th, and as of this writing, is doing very well. He is expected to come home on the 9th if all continues to go well.

The Venturing Crew went canoeing over the weekend of the 4-6th. More crew activities are planned for this month, so watch this space!

I know this update has been rather dull. Hopefully the next one will be more interesting!
